The Sacrament of Baptism is a significant spiritual milestone in the life of your family.  As your pastor, I value the special significance of the ceremony within the worship service.  In order to make it special for your child and family, it is important that we have the opportunity to meet one another and talk about the baptismal service.  We have a number of children who are baptized each year at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church.  

If you are considering a baptism during the fourth quarter, you will need to attend the pre-baptismal family gathering on Sunday, October 10, 2010 in the I.W. Bearss room in our Heritage Hall.  This will also provide you with an opportunity to meet other couples who are planning to have their child baptized during this period of time.  If you would like to attend, please contact Jeanette Abbott at (813) 961-1254 ext. 280 or jabbott@lmumc.org so we may plan for you.  Infants and children are encouraged to attend with their parents, as they are an integral part of the baptismal ceremony.
