The Faith Journey Hour is seen as an opportunity to expand our spiritual growth and discipleship opportunities. These can take the form of a traditional Sunday School class as well as short term classes/seminars, etc. throughout the year. IWB room.
Sunday School Classes @ 9:30 am
Discipleship
This class is made up of adults of all ages. Class members are both couples and singles. The class follows a discussion format. The Bible is our focus. They usually study a book of the Bible from beginning to end taking as long as is needed to complete the study of the entire book.
Bereans
This class takes its name from Acts 17:11 and consists of adults of all ages who study the Word and share insights into Christian living. The Bible is their study guide. All are welcome.
Friendship
This group studies the Bible and is taught by various members of the class. They are guided by the Cokesbury Adult Sunday school series. Members participate in many service projects as well.
Life Enrichment
This class is made up of people who are interested in topics that focus on parenting and marriage. This class is welcome to adults of all ages. The format of the class usually begins with a 15-minute gathering to fellowship with one another and enjoy coffee & goodies. Prayer requests and praise reports are also exchanged. After this social time, we view a video and follow it with a discussion of that day's topic. We carefully select material that is God-centered and relevant to ones daily life.
Sea Currents
This Sunday School class meets the spiritual needs of most singles and couples in their 20's to 40's through biblically-based education, mission, and fellowship. Class begins with a short social time and announcements, followed by a 30-40 minute discussion led by our members, and closing with prayer.
Sharing Friends
This is a ladies' class which has group discussions led by June Sarvis. They use the David C. Cook Bible-In-Life Application. Visitors and new members are always welcomed.
Power by Faith Ages 21-30
This new exciting class focuses on life application and bible study. For information, call Josh Anderson, 842-6223, or Nikki Seibert, 405-7190.
Couples Class
In this twelve-week study Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage you will laugh and learn as we explore the underlying dynamics of male/female relationships and practical solutions to common relationship woes. Join us starting Sunday, September 12th at 9:30 a.m. in room 301/302. Call Tom and Roni Gillingham if you would like more information. 969-3738. The cost is $12.00 per couple.
